I saw this term in a thread recently. Can anyone explain or describe it to me?

I'm only guessing but it could refer to the practice of wearing a folding knife sheath upside down so that knife "drops" into your had when you open the sheath. I've seen a lot of bikers carrying their 110s that way.

Grasping the knife by the blade and snapping it open. Its the same method as the "Spyderco drop", only without the hole.

I've heard the upside-down belt sheath carry referred to as the "upside down dump" position; the only time I've ever seen it done was on the syndicated Lorenzo Lamas action series Renegade.

The Buck 110 opens nicely using the handle snap method, but even the tightest of them can be wrist-snapped open if your wrist is strong enough. (I owe a good college friend who's also an Ohio redneck for showing me that trick, way back when.)

I was just thinking of this the other day -- my worst episode ever. 14 years old, friend shows me how he can open his 110 just this way. I spend weeks applying WD40 and flicking my new 110. One night, after a fresh coat of WD40, the blade slips and I "throw" the knife down through my boot, through my foot, and into the floor. Still have that scar.
