Ray called Bill today and he says he'll be back in 2 weeks. More later. Rusty

Good to hear the news, Rusty.

Thank you.

R & R Uncle BIll. We do miss you, but don't come back until you feel you're ready.

Get some much-needed rest Uncle Bill! Hope you feel better soon! We'll all be here when you get back.

yeah...I go away for a while and I return to see that bill had a heart attack. Just goes to show I can't leave this place unsupervised...everything just goes to hell!

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." -Robert Heinlein

Interesting how many forumites use a Heinlein quote for a signature.

To paraphrase my favorite Heinlein quote:

"A human who cannot do mathematics is at best a primate who has been trained not to mess on the floor."

I'll have to go look that one up.

Glad to hear good news about Bill. Thanks for the updates Rusty. Nice to see Coronach back too... Guess the little piggy got a day off

Good to hear some info Rusty. Uncle Bill just got back from Nepal and is goin nonstop with everything else. Takes a lot out of a guy.

Best I know, the "Heinlein" quote originally comes from Gauss. I can't say exactly when or where he said or wrote that though.

(That was on the door of my neighbor in the dorms, a few years back. He and I were both math majors. On my own door, I chose to put a poster of Einstein saying "Do not worry about your difficulties in mathematics; I assure you mine are greater.")

If we can get Uncle Bill to switch from Heineken to Guiness I'm certain his arteries will thank him profusely. Apparantly Guiness is so thick that it scrapes everything off the walls of your blood vessels. God bless the Irish!

Seems ironic that Uncle Bill is getting more "vacation" in the hospital than he actually got on vacation.

I've been away for a while so this is all news to me. Get well soon Uncle Bill. My prayers will be with you.

Mike

Any new word on Uncle Bill?
