could anyone supply me with Battle Blades articles from Soldier of Fortune magazine, anything from 1990 to present. i really just want the articles rather than the entire SOF issue. if you can, contact me for details and submit your price. i have the bagwell bowie fever and
am short on reading material.

All of the Bagwell articles were compiled into a nice book which you can find at www.paladinpress.com and probably at knifeworld.com

I believe the title is "Bowies and Battle Blades" but search on Bagwell and you should find it.
 
already done with the book, it's very good but only covers the articles from the premier to the end of 1986, i am looking for 1990 to present if any has them.......

Bill Bagwell is back doing Battle Blades for SOF and there have been several articles in SOF, Tactical Knives, and Combat Knives since 1990. I've got some of them somewhere around here, but it'll be a while before I can root around to find them as I'm pretty busy right now. Most of them have to do with the development of the Hell's Belle, training Special Forces at Ft. Bragg, and the effectiveness of the Bowie as a pure fighting knife. If you don't have any luck, contact me after the first of the year.
 
thanks for the reply, the book was great but it ends the articles at about 1986, so there are about 168 articles if he has been writing until now for SOF, i read the last issue of SOF and he is putting out very interesting articles, just a matter of getting someone with a subscription that doesn't mind passing them on. i don't mind paying a reasonable price for the articles........
 
that is a sweet looking bowie, i didn't know that he had stopped writing for SOF for awhile-anyone know when he started back up, it would nice to be able to catch up on those articles since i'm a new bowie nut.

how much does your blade go for ?? any idea what a Damascus bladed Bagwell would go for ?? i could never afford one but i am curious...

Battle Blades started back up with the Jan. '01 issue of SOF. Most of the Damascus Bagwells I've seen were at about $2500.

thanks for the timeline on the bagwell articles, so if anyone has his SOF articles from Jan 2001 until now let me know. thats at least nine anyway, i got the oct. 2001 issue....thanks again for the feedback, $2500 doesn't really sem that much, considering the quality. the 6-12 month wait would kill me..
