How many bowie designs does Bill make? I know he makes the Hell's Belle, but other than that I am totally clueless. I tried researching prior threads, but though they are rich with pictures, it is hard for me to tell how many styles are offered.

I'm not sure about styles but I know you can get different handle types such as the classic coffin or dog bone. Then there is the carved eagle heads. I know he has made ivory handles too. For blades I think if you tell him that you want a Hell's Belle then he of course makes a fighting bowie but the standard guard bowies are not as sleek and fast. (I don't think) It seems his clips are more concave than they use to be so I don't know if that is something that can also be changed as well. Bill pretty much does it all if it's a classic bowie:cool:

That pretty much sums it up.

Carbon or Damascus blades

Brass ,iron or damascus fittings

As mentioned Stag or exotic wood handles in a coffin or birds head style.

All his Bowies orient to a more fighting style but the HB really does

Like Crossada mentioned his clips have evolved to a more talon like shape.

The thing about Bill's work is he never builds the same knife twice they are all built to order in most cases and no 2 are alike

There are so many great ones but my Big Stag all Damascus Bowie is for me an example of some of his finest work even thou I carry an oval guarded carbon piece a lot more :)

Thanks guys. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I have in mind a carbon bladed knife, with stag handle, oval guard, and iron or steel fittings.

Joe, this is pretty much what I'm thinking of. The lines are just so right. Can you post the specs? When I talk to Bill will he know this knife?

That knife is over 20 years old

That was when he was doing his clips shorter with less of a talon or claw shape

He knows that knife :)

Here is a similar one with a more updated clip

This is a some what standard carbon and stag Bagwell if here is such a thing
