Bill Bagwell? Death in The Swamp....

Hey guys. I was doing some research on this knife. The sheath says Bagwell, it has a off center B on the ricasso. Did Bill use scrimshaw art on his bone handled knives? I was wondering if any of you might know if it's legit, maybe an early Bagwell? Or if it's a possible fake...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The simple answer is it’s hard to tell. Not a simple yes or no. I own two original B stamp knives that were both authenticated Bagwells that have different B stamps. One that I showed to Bill the last time I met with him at his house he said was legit. Bill did tell me that some of his earliest work was faked and another one that I showed to him on eBay a number of years back had the same stamp on the sheath and a B but he denied making it.
