I see Bill has been posting these days and it reminded me that I wanted to post this here.

About a month ago I was looking around some maker's sites and came across this knife on Bill Buxton's site and it really struck me.

I've always liked Mr. Buxton's knives and owned one of his EDC's in the past, that being one of the most comfortable mid-sized knives I've owned.

It's in a 4 3/8" blade in W2 with a nice hamon.
Handle is desert ironwood for an OAL of 9 1/4"
Damascus guard

It's sculpted handle just melts into the hand and is comfortable in a variety of grips. The damascus guard is particularly nice and I enjoy exploring it's pattern. The hamon is as nice as it looks too.

Symmetry is extremely good with the blade and edge centered to the guard and handle. Fit and finish is top notch.

Thanks Bill.

Stuart,

Congrats on a beautiful hunter !
Nice looking DI, love that damascus guard and the hamon.

That's a sweet hunter - Bill does really nice work in both carbon and damascus.

Now Stuart, you need to stop being so bashful and let people know that the excellent sheath shown in the second pic is your work. Well done.

Thank you Stuart, I'm really glad you like the knife and your sheath work is outstanding, I sure wish you lived next door so I could take advantage of it. ;):thumbup:

your sheath is beautiful, Stuart:thumbup:
knife is sweet too, of course

Thanks guys. I'm quite pleased with this one. I'm trying to build the courage to carry it. Maybe in the summer. It really begs to be used.
I'm looking at getting a custom from Bill now... nice stuff and I agree, it won't be long before that JS is an MS.

And thanks for the sheath comments.

Very nice Stuart! I've been admiring your avatar of this hunter over the past few weeks. Excellent sheath too!
