? Bill? John Powell?? Is this the real deal?

It does to me too. If John sees this one he may bid. He likes the rigs with scabbards in good condition and this one looks pretty decent.

buys this, would you let us know? Maybe give an idea of what you bought and how old, where it originated, etc?

Thanks,

Kis

Definitely the real deal. A nice late 19th or early 20th c trousse with all the goodies and looks to be in good shape. The later models are identifed by either having scissors or the small saw. These knives were carried by "handymen" and even "medicine men" (not priests or shamans)in remote regions to fix and heal people, animals, tools, houses, etc.

I already have 7 very nice trousses in the cabinet, including one with all giraffe horn grips. This is a good one and I suggest somebody here gets it. You can always call Bill up for a loan since selling kukris is like printing money...

I'm just curious, is the Damascus khukuri by the same seller worth more? It sure looks good!
All the best!

I had my eye on that Damascus one as well, looks brand new, scabbard is beat to hell. Somebody thinks it is legit, $335 and still not met reserve...
