That is definitely a one of a kind Moran, I would say rare that he used ivory and that handle style on a ST-24.

All the details! And that silver wire work is wonderful! Thanks for posting!

Wow! That is a REALLY rare bird amongst already rare birds!!

Dan,

That is a very rare and beautiful Moran knife.

Congratulations.

that is one freakin hunk o chunk o ivory! Must feel amazing.
the profile of this knife, particularly the shape of the blade seems contemporary to me. More and more knives are sporting these dramatic clips and super wide blades as the zombie apocalypse approaches.
The man was definitely ahead of his time.

It is the fanciest Moran I can recall seeing! It must have been a VERY special project.

Thanks for showing it.

Peter

What a fantastic and historical Moran !
Thanks for giving us a peek, Dan !

Unique piece.

May I ask you to tell us about your relationships with Moran? Had you known him for a long time?

One of the most exceptional Moran's I've ever seen of any style....

thanks guys,

my personal relationship with Bill Moran was talking with him at shows,
the only knife I ever got direct was a knife I won at the AKI, all the others I have acquired from people who are typically as passionate about his work as I am.

as with all the makers I collect, I try to get the extra special and unique ones and this piece is most certainly in that class.
