Sorry if this has been covered before, didn't find anything searching. Looking at picking up a Bill Moran drop point (model FB02) and have found a "FB02P" online several places. It appears to be the the same knife, without the spyderhole. Is this just an old run? Are there any other differences in the knife or sheath?

Now that you've mentioned it, I think it's just the absence of the Spydie Hole on the non P model.

The FB01 is a Bowie style blade, and I thought I would just share this fact here as well.

Spyderco seems to have added the P descriptor to all their plain edged FB knives in 2004. Can't recall Sal ever explaining why, but I'm guessing it was for consistency with the models which needed it because they came in both PE and SE. Hole didn't come until years later, so don't think it was a factor.

Current production comes with a G clip in place of the older Tec Lok for attaching to your belt or pack.
True. There have been a few other changes over the years as well. Original version had a leather sheath, Moran (convex) grind, and gold lettering. Over the years those all changed. Leather sheath survived longer than the Moran grind and gold lettering. Not sure if those changed together or if one changed before the other.
