Bill Moran question?

Just got one yesterday, it's has a polished
blade and Kydex sheath.

Is this the original model? I think the
newer model has satin finish.
steel is also VG-10.
Besides the surface of the blade, any thing
different between them?

I thought the original ones had a polished finish, Moran edge, and leather sheath while the new ones had a satin finish, a kydex sheath, and did not have the Moran edge.

As I understood it....
The original original had a kydex sheath.

The info on the Spyderco site kept saying that even after they switched to the leather.

I've got two of the polished/leather sheath models. XLNT knife

Actually I think the web site always said Concealex, but I said that it said Kydex once online here, and you believed me! Sorry about that nice Spyderco folks!

I believe the progression goes something like; first were numbered versions of the mirror polished, convex edge models with a Kydex sheath; then un-numbered mirror polished, convex edge models with a leather sheath; and now a satin blade with a plain ground edge and a Concealex sheath.

Something like that.
