Just got this dagger yesterday from Bill via Coop, and got Coop's beautiful montage today!!

As great as the photos are, you can't really appreciate this abalone (real, not mosaic) unless you see it in person - it truly is 3 dimensional! All of the carving and filework is flawless but subtle, and I really love the overall shape!

Bill is a great guy to work with - he finished this up for me despite having to move his shop and despite the recent torrential rains and flooding in NH where he lives. Coop shot the knife as soon as he got it and sent it on to me, and told me how to post it. Thanks to both guys!

Hi Bill,

A public congrats on your exceptional choice, and I have to agree with you an ALL counts! This knife image can't duplicate the sense of heft, beauty, and precision that combine in it. It's quite a piece to admire, and the auto mechanism worked flawlessly.

Bill's filework is very organic. I love it when you see a pattern that simply makes you look real closely. His 'S' pattern finds it's way onto the button as well. I like it all around.

That abalone is a video of movement and color. This is a lousy snapshot of the action, unfortunately.

Thanks for the nice post!
