For those of you don’t know Bill Siegle’s work…well here’s a chance to see some of his mods. The work he does is flawless. Great guy to work with, has a eye for detail and his ability to do what you describe is fantastic. The pics of the HOFSH and RW describe this better than I ever could. Both knives have had a swedge done and re-profile of the edges. Enjoy!!! :D

Looks great! I have a knife that I just sent off to him for similar treatment, can't wait to see how it turns out!

The HOFSH is a factory DC...I did the DC on the RW. The RWs look very cool with a DC finish, IMHO. Shows off the dual tempering!

When you say that "you" did the DC, do you mean that "you" did it, or that you had Bill do it? I'm curious because I'm interested in having it done to a couple of my own blades.

Man - that is awesome! I especially love the long clip swedge on the RW -- that thing will "poke" like a needle now...

He puts quite an edge on them too

How in the heck do you contact this guy??!?!?!???!!??

Me has some idears!

Gotta love that RW temper line. Great looking pair and Kudos to Bill for his quality work.

No I mean I did it, the DC. Bill did the grind work.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. They turned out just the way I described them to Bill. His suggestions on how to do the swedges really helped in the outcome. Like Westlen put it Bill is a "grind god". The swedges couldn't be more dead center, they look as if they came from the factory that way. The blades are now very spearpoint at the tip but not to the point were there is any worry of breakage. Bill did them where there is still pleaty of "meat" behind the tip. The re-profile of the edges are now wider and scary sharp, and from my previous experience will stay that way even after heavy use. Now all that's left is to get some nylon pants from Dan Hirayama of Semper Paratus Tactical...a "tactical nylon god"! :D Then the HOFSH will be ready for use this summer. Sadly the RW doesn't belong to me....something I'm wishing I could change, it turned out way better than I thought it might. Bill's idea of doing the swedge the full length of the RW's clip was right on! There may have to be a Rat in this piglet's future.
