I'd really like to get a Bill Yao Seiko from MkII Watches. Could someone please explain the Aluminum chapter ring option and the minute track.
Oh..and what's the difference between the Sub face and the Type I face?
Bill Yao Seiko

I'm leaning towards type I face and hands.

Cheers guys

There's not a lot of difference between the type 1 and the sub face from what I can tell - looks like the markers at the corners (3, 6, 9, 12) are a bit different - I would just go with what you like.

Mr. Yao has a good explanation for the aluminum chapter ring here:

http://www.mkiiwatches.com/faq.html#anchor7

Basically the stock plastic chapter ring with the minute track is replaced by a nice satin-finished aluminum chapter ring with no markings - makes for a cleaner look.

I have a Seiko with him now getting the treatment :D

yaos watches are cool imho, and not too high $$ either, if i didnt wear a rolex GMT or panarai GMT i would wear a yao seiko divers myself, have had to really resist the urge to get one, but only have 2 wrists lol

I was going to pass on the aluminum chapter ring but am glad that I didn't. It really adds a finishing touch to an awesome watch.

Take the time to wait. It is well worth the time.

Wes
