Here's something that has been on my mind for years because of this thread :

It's finally starting to come together, thanks to a little push from someone.

These bolster halves started as a .285" billet of 6AL-4V Titanium. They are hand milled, not CNC. I am contemplating using 5-40 threads with Helicoil inserts for extra strength, but possibly Stainless Barrel nuts (That I commonly use)

Here is the finished product: Those are Titanium screws holding it together. I used a buffing technique to bring out some grain in the Carbon Fiber you can feel as I find it a little slippery when wet.











 
Thank you. It was by far the most difficult and time consuming Customized 110 I`ve done.
