Got my new RC-5 the other day. I ordered it in OD green with the combo edge and Eagle sheath.

Strip-teasing my way through the packaging, the first thing I noticed was that the business card wasn't the plastic one I'd gotten with my RC-4 and Izula. I started to wonder if it was an older version.

I pulled the knife out of the sheath for an inspection. There's no way not to be impressed by an RC-5. If I'm ever in a life-or-death knife fight with a Buick, this is the knife I want.

Then I remembered that these are serialized, so I took a look to see what I had. The old school business card suddenly made a lot more sense.

0010. 10. Perfect 10. Damn. So much for using this one. Back in the wrap it went. Now it's helping weigh down my gun safe while I decide what to do with it.

Sounds similar to a situation I had in my post. I'd heed everyone's advice here and use it. RAT knives are meant to be used. It would be cruel to them otherwise!

I mean i know people around here are a little weird about their knifes but come on....its a knife....use it

Ahahaha, you're kidding right? :D He would be caned and beaten for not using it around here!

Very nice RC-5, talk about old school!

Hmmmmm, so the folks around think "hell it's a knife, use it" huh? So the one of a kind TAK-1 the Jeff sent me should be beaten to hell? Who cares if is one of a kind? Hmmmmm.....?
