what in the hell is up with the audio bing ad's???:thumbdn:

your screwing up my radio song's. i really don't want to pause in the first post and the last post so i don't have to listen to them. i like being here, but this is a little to much.

sparks what's the deal brother?

just refreshed it and had to hit pause again. if i'm a little over the top please let me know. i take my music pretty serious.

Spark can "hear" you much better if this thread was posted in Service & Support. Sorry, but it can't stay here.

BTW, for as little as 10 buxx a year, you won't hear or see any ads... ;)

Please hang tight while I call the moving truck to pack it up and take it to the appropriate forum...

I hate audio ads. One minute your looking up news on msn or something, then BAM!! You forget your speakers are on and you get blasted or it skrews with any music you got playing.

So Oge, what type of music are you jamming out to when you're posting pics of mutilated cars and swingsets?

everything but emo. i have a very wide range in music. i love music that make's me want to do stuff. wither it be a two step of full blown moss pit. it has to have a rhythm to it.

Moved here from the Busse forum.

Not that I hear them here, but I gotta admit that audio ads are very annoying, especially with the plug-in speakers I use with my laptop. :)

thank ya again, hopefully i'll see ya at knob.

I'm so pissed off at the Bing ads. I had my volume up while watching a movie, and I took a short break to check blade forums and suddenly my ears are bleeding from this annoying rock music.... it's the BING ad. I go to press pause, and the music is still there!!! WHY?? Because there's a 2nd one on the same page!!!!

So every time I go to a new page the stupid Bing ad is there with the music. And what pisses me off more is in order to turn it off I have to pay? I would like to support the forums eventually, but this is almost like forcing me to pa. "You don't want annoying ads with blaring music? Ok.... pay up". That's not cool. :thumbdn:  :grumpy: :thumbdn:

Yes, Highly Irritating. Shot adrenaline straight to my skull, my speakers were on high volume. Makes me NEVER want to use Bing.

Sparkles isn't privy to all the ads that come through paid servers. We've been through this before with malware loaded ones. I'm guessing he'll get it taken out of rotation when he can. He's not screwing with you or trying to annoy you into paying. Deep breaths.

I hate Bing. Another site I go to gets taken off my list periodically for that. Just as bad, if the cursor passes one of their highlighted terms, an info box pops up. Thanx loads for the info I didn't need.

Hey guys if you are running windows you can click on the speaker icon in the bottom right of your screen and go to the mixer and mute your internet so your music is interrupted. Also if you guys like firefox, you can download no-script add on for free to block all ads.

Good stuff!

Woops! I meant so your music is not interrupted.

Tony

P.S. Also free feel to email me if you download No-script and have any problems. Or you can email me a telephone number and I'd be happy to talk you through the steps. It's the least I could do to pay it forward a bit in a forum that has been my online hangout daily :D:thumbup:

Bing is a terrible company in all it's various incarnations. One potential way around audio ad's if you have windows 7 is to click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen (in the toolbar) and left click on the 'mixer' button. That will bring up a list of each item making sound, your speakers (all sound), winamp, firefox, chrome, etc. You can then mute whatever the offending program is and isolate it. This kinda sucks if your listening to internet radio on the same browser though.

It is possible to run multiple browsers simultaneously. I frequently run IE and Firefox simultaneously at work.
