My buddy Bing hasn't put this up, that I know of, being the modest kind of guy he is so I thought I would.

Way to go Bing. Well deserved. In honor of this award, I'll show my current EDC in my pocket today.

worth the double tap :)

Beautiful piece. Is that yours, Dudley? If so, big congrats!

I wish! No, but I do have a couple of his folders....one bolstered and similar to the one pictured and the smaller non-bolstered version like the one mwschilling has pictured. :)

Congrats Pal. I know you and your work well enough to know that those are well deserved.

I'm happy for you.

But where's the mug shot of you holding them with that sarcastic grin? :p

Thanks Dudley for posting this up. I was going to do something but have been so busy. Here is the rest of the award winners as I remember

Best Tactical - Gavin Hawk. Was truly a nice knife and well deserved.
Best Bird & Trout - Gorden St Clair. This one was very nice as well I would like to own it.
Best Hunter - Butch Deveraux. Nice hunter There were lots of hunters entered in this category
Best new maker - Jermey Lindley. Wasn't even going to enter ( I talked him into it @ the last minute )

If I left anyone out my apologies.

As far as the show went was a nice small atmosphere. We were greeted with breakfast in the morning. Snacks throughout the day. Served by hostess Brenda a 4th grade school teacher who had the best personality.
My table was next to Ann Reeves of Chris Reeves Knives. and Jermey Lindley. Gavin Hawk was behind Jermey and we had wonderful conversation. Loved hearing about the history of Hawk Knives. Gavin had a one of the Hawk designed flipper made by Boker, Was a blast to play with. I think Jermey finally bought it for fear he was going to wear it out. At the end of the day cocktails out side.

I want to say a big thanks to everyone who has commented on this.

Mark, Glad to see that flipper being put to use.

John, You know I don't smile it might hurt my face :D

For anyone who doesn't get to see that Bowie in person, I'm sorry-it's incredible. I had a great time sitting next to you Bing and thanks again for all the input and advice. I don't care what anyone says, you're a good guy ;). And yes, that Hawk designed Boker has been flipped many more times since Sunday.... It'll have to do until I can get a really nice custom one.

My buddy Bing, way to go!! I got to check both of these out before the show and I told him they'd be award winners. I love it when I'm right :-)
Congratulations my friend, much deserved.

Congrats Bing,
Double edged sword though.
You are being recognized for your fine work,
Now I'll have to pick up more cans to pay for the next blade.
Your Humble Servant,
Dozier

Thanks Jermey, Mike , Lester.
