Just saw this on KC's facebook page. It sort of snuck up on me and I've got to be honest, I rarely go for Anso's stylings (and higher prices), but I really like this little guy.

Ah,

After actually searching (that's my bad) I see that this has been covered. Two-handed opener isn't tickling a lot of folks' fancies huh?

I'm with ya, EZ! I'm really liking the looks (and price) of the Pingo, too. I wants one!

Sithus, please post pics when you get yours!

Just got mine! Very nice little folder and will definitely be staying in my pocket for a while. If the two handed opening bothers you, worry not, It's surprisingly easy to open with one hand; can even be sort of spydie dropped!

Its an amazing knife actually if you know why it was made. Someone asked sal to make a knife legal in their country because they tightened the knife laws. So everyone came together and made it fit within the laws even sending for consultation on the knife's legality before sending it off. Got to give them the credit for caring about their customers. The n690 will make up for the 2 handed open I think

even sending for consultation on the knife's legality

I followed this on britishblades and was very surprised (and happy) by how quickly it was released after being sent for approval! Also, I'm even more surprised that it was approved as two handed only... Hope it all works out for those Danes!

You would have to have a tiny strong thumb to open this thing "normally". I love it!

All you have to do is anchor your fingers with the pocket clip and push on the blade right below the logo on the handle. Bingo, open Pingo!

 Isn't this a really, really bad thing!? The whole point of this knife is to be a 2 hand open so it is legal in Denmark, if it is easy to 1h open, then it would be a total failure for that purpose. I certainly hope it is either just an issue with yours, or you have freakish strong hands or something. I was hoping to pick one up to bring on some tours of the rest of Europe, but if this is true, I may have to abstain. :(

They sent one there for approval so I guess it's OK? Also, I'm a rock climber so it's very possible that I do just have freakishly strong fingers!

Love the blade profile. With that being said I have nothing against slipjoints and own/use a tone of them. However I'd like to have a locking version of this folder, but that would kinda defeat the purpose. I am glad Sal is helping out our fellow knife enthusiast abroad (and in NY).

I really like that blade shape and it's the first folder in a while that made me stand up and take notice. Hopefully I'll have my very own to work with soon.

Haha - but seriously... don't ever go into proctology man...

Anyone considered making that hole larger? Seems like it would be an awesome little Slipit here in the US if it were only a one-handed opener (for those of us without face-punchingly strong fingers). I'll be honest though - that comparison to the Dragonfly surprised me - I didn't realize it was that small (it looks like the blade is made from some super-thick stock though).

I thought about it but the hole is already so close to the scale that you'd have to make a cut out as well. Might not look pretty but you could add a little strip of grip tape on the side of the blade for extra traction and open how I'm doing it.

I would prefer to cut a slot forward of the Spyder logo!
