I was able to complete a few projects within the past few months...
Bird and Trout from hand-forged 01 tool steel with sheep horn guard and hand-tooled Kydex-lined frontier sheath. I started making the Kydex-lined sheaths because I wanted the security of the Kydex, combined with the look of a sheath that speaks to a more traditional theme.
Hitachi Blue san man steel paired with a piece of 400 year-old Dyer Oak burl (below).
This blade was hand sanded down to 2500 grit and acid etched.
