I've been making knives for about a year and believe this is by far the best I've made.
It's a little Bird and trout made from ATS-34 with Teak handles and brass pins.

I would love your critique and would really appreciate any input you may have in regard to handle Design which is something I'm never completely happy with. They always come out comfortable but should be much better.

Looks great. The blade height looks a little tall for a bird and trout to me but it may just look that way because the tang is so slim. Overall it looks really good and would make a great all around knife. What are the dimensions?

I agree that it seems a bit tall for a Bird & Trout in the blade? What is the size?

I would also suggest that put a index finger cutout with a 3/4" small wheel or increase the height of the butt end of the handle and possible put a pinky finger cutout there or a full pinky ring.

Cutting Fish in the field can be slimy and Bird bloody and having a grasping point on the handle will improve your blade tip/edge dexterity.

I agree with the blade height but then again in the second and third pics it doesnt look so tall. Over all looks very neat and clean. Job well done!

Is there something funny about the alignment of the pins, not quite straight on a line from the tip, nor on an arc of that line? Handle appears slightly like a rounded block. Teak is a fine choice but not the most beautiful

I agree with the others, 3.5" x 1" is really pushing the limits of how long/wide such a blade should be (3" x 5/8" or 3/4" is plenty of blade for small game and paring knives), and the handle needs better geometry/contours to keep it from slipping or twisting.

When in doubt, place pins or bolts a little above the centerline, especially on such a narrow handle. Once it's shaped they always seem to come out "looking" lower than they really are.

Keep your mark just ahead of the plunge line. (now that's really being picky :p )

The overall work looks very nice though, and the blade finish is very good. Keep it up! :)

I like the handle shape overall. Only thing I would say is to taper the front down. But hey, I'm only looking at it and not holding it. Very nice knife.

People will give your knife a name, more appropriate to its shape, than the maker will. Besides, you don't have to explain why you did such in such or this and that :)

Nice EDC, Fred
