This sword has a forged 14.75" blade of high carbon spring steel. It weighs one pound, three ozs., and balances three inches in front of the guard. It's lightening fast, razor sharp, and is a superb all-around blade, It's been left rough, with forge and file marks visable. The handle is wrapped hardwood, and provides a very secure grip. The sword is carried over the shoulder in a baldric rig, it's easy to take off and put on, a nice feature for a working blade. Lately I've been doing the bird's head pommels, just cuz I think they look cool. It doesn't affect the performance at all as the hand doesn't come in contact with it. I cleared out a section of my property, and it was a breeze. Let me know what you think, fellas. Your comments are welcomed.
