top -- Raju comes by BirGorkha to pay his respects. He is oldest Sarki son.

center -- Ashok, second Sarki son brings his own son to BirGorkha to say hello to Uncle Bill.

bottom -- This is the view when you look out the door of BirGorkha. Somewhere over there Gelbu and Pradeep have taken an apartment so they will be close to the shop. They tell me it is a five minute walk. I know it is here somewhere but don't know exactly where.

Just curious, Uncle Bill. Are these apartments privately owned are or they government subsidized? From what I can tell from the pics, they look like fairly nice apartments, by Nepali standards.
 
Nice pix uncle. I think I could live there, maybe not all the time, but here and there. When I retire I might give it a try. Sure would be a learning experience.
 
Maybe Gelbu or someone could hook me up with an apartment in the area later on. For $600.00 a year --- I think that can be arranged.
 
Rent is higher in Kathmandu central. The farther out you go the cheaper rent gets. I'd guess Gelbu's same apartment in Kathmandu would run maybe $75 or 80 per month.
