Birthday Cake vs Busse

Last night we was my step-daughters 8th birthday. We threw Iris a party complete with pizza, cake and ice cream. We even let her choose which knife to cut her cake with. She choose the biggest of the bunch.

She really enjoyed cutting her own cake. I helped a little of course.
 
Awesome! Just the right size knife for the cake. That looks just like my birthday cake from last year too!

Now I'm sure your little girl enjoyed chopping into that cake with some sweet INFI but it looks to me like daddy is the one who is REALY getting a kick out of this. Nice pics. :D
 
I did enjoy myself too. It was totally her idea though. I got a charge out of the fact that she was excited by the idea.
Unfortantly I'm only her stepdad. I wish I was her dad, her real father well um not going to get into that. I'm hoping to be a positive influence in her life in general and hopefully will get a chance to teach her to be a responsible knife and gun owner.

Whatever, dude!! If you want to tell your wife that, that's fine...but you don't have to convince us of anything! :cool:

Sweet knife and cute kid. I have a couple step kids as well. I hate calling them that though. I refer to their "dad" as the sperm donor, cause that's the only thing he's done for them! :grumpy:
 
Great pics and happy B-day to your little girl. My daughters Bday is 12-12 and that might be the way we cut her cake.

Actually it was the wife's idea not mine. Of course I was totally for it.

I try not to refer to my wifes daughters as the step kids. My step dad never refered to me as his step son and I try not to do the same. He had it easier though as my biological father was out of the picture and he started helping my mom raise me when I was about 2. I was very lucky to have one dad and not be shuffled back and forth. Being a step parent is tough. My hats off to those out there who are raising other peoples kids as their own.

The other stepdaughters birthday is 12-19. She has some developmental challanges so no AK for her cake cutting.
