So, this was not a gift, it was a contest of some sort? And this company practices age discrimination? We need more data. From your description of all the free gifts it sounds like a con game. Did you pay for this card? Did you need to provide personal information online?

Yes, tell us more. I really hope you didn't give any valuable information like your credit card number, bank account info, social security number ...

If you did, report that information stolen NOW. Cancel that credit card, clean the money out of that bank account before the thieves do, if it isn't too late for that already....

I have gotten phone calls asking if I would like to participate in a survey. Most of the time I say no, but a month ago, out of curiosity,
I agreed. I was asked my birth date. When I told them, I was told that I was outside the age perimeters of the survey. In other words,
I'm too old. Bummer!

Sounds like some bottom feeding, skip tracing, collections agency. Expect a summons within a few months.

...or an eggspurt identity theft person (ultimate bottom feeder) needing to flesh out the birth certificate, SS# and other info they scrounged elsewhere. Expect calls from credit card companies you never had accounts with seeking the payments you owe them.

Nope. Age is to ascertain they probably have the right guy. Marital status lets them attempt to garnish the spouse's accounts. Home ownership is an asset which can be exploited by creditors in the court once a judgement is awarded.

An identity thief who already had his name, DOB, and SSN would ask various common security questions, such as: city of birth, mother's maiden name, dog's name, brand and color of first car owned, elementary school attended, etc.

Seriously don't expect summons. My credit score is in the low 800's as of last week.

Well, that is good. That probably eliminates collection agencies. I want to know more about these jerks promising all sorts of free stuff before telling you ya can't have it because u are old. That shit ain't right. What can u tell us about them?

Despite, never being late on anything my credit score is only 790. I think it's because I owe hardly anything!
