I'm turning 20 soon, and can't for the life of me figure out what I want for my birthday this year. This year my parents did pretty well financially so It can be $150 or less. I'd love to hear some of your opinions. I'm looking for knives, backpacks, sharpeners, anything survival or EDC oriented.

The ZT 0550 is always there. It should be within your range. If I was gonna spend a buck fifty it'd be on another one of them! Really just depends on what you're looking for specifically. Folders or fixed.

I'm honestly open to anything. It's not that I NEED another knife, but who of us ever does? I want it anyways. I'll take a look at the 0550, thanks!

How about the Spyderco Gayle Bradley? It can be had for about $130 if you look around, has CPM M4 steel, carbon fiber scales, and is a very overbuilt and over-engineered, tough little knife.

Happy Birthday! How about narrowing things down for us a bit?

Though, when it comes to survival/EDC, nothing beats cash. It will get you out of a lot of trouble spots and it's always handy. :D

I can narrow it down, as far as folders go, I like lighter weight folders, plain edge. I like spyderco, kershaw, benchmade (though it seems a bit out of this current price range), don't yet own any ZT. Any outdoor oriented knife, (I hunt small game and fish on at least a bi-weekly basis), and if it helps any, fairly soon I'll be doing my Basic Law Enforcement Training, so anything that would be oriented to law enforcement would be great too.
As far as the outdoor gear goes, I like hiking and camping, but not for such long periods of time to need a huge hiking pack.

Take a look at any of the Salt series spyderco knives. The H1 steel simply won't rust and it would be great to use for hunting/fishing.

I currently have been using a buck pathfinder (I believe, it says 105 on the blade) and a lone wolf landslide for my outdoor uses, would a salt be better than the landslide?
