The hardware store in my wife's hometown of Cleves, Ohio, is the real old-fashioned kind, in a good way. The kind that still has a glass display case of pocketknives near the cash registers. I asked for the Schrade 1040OT Minuteman and 33OT Middleman Jack knives for my birthday, and the in-laws came through. I'm thinking of collecting the whole lineup. I have no idea where to keep them all, though. My father-in-law suggested getting a display case of my own. I'll have to give that some thought.

Cardimon, sounds like you are enjoying some great "traditional quality" knives made by Schrade. I built up a taste for the Sharpfinger-style knives. Now, I have a Sharpfinger and two Wolverines.
All are great knives and affordable. Part of the Old Timer Schrade image is that these are tools used by generations of working man who depended on them. Certainly, not just collectibles....
