Birthday present - a plain small Sebbie!

Well, my birthday goodies yesterday were spectacular - and included a new small Sebbie - made a few weeks back of S35VN. Long story, it started life as a MicroTech Ultratech and a Benchmade 480-1, a pair I had hand-picked for near perfection - and my wife bought and hid away for my b'day. I later read of MT's less than stellar QC & CS. Fearing problems, and admittedly wondering why I didn't spend that kind of moola towards a small Sebbie, which they had been without for a while. I asked my wife to return them for a credit - stating that for the price paid, I could almost have had a small plain Sebbie - if they just had some. Guess what they had just gotten in? Five small plain Sebbies - and my friend, the enabler - aka knife salesman - traded my wife even (She always gets a deal!). He put my name on the two knifes brought back and stuck them under the counter, knowing what a hardcore knifeslut I am. I did make it back last week - to rescue the BM 480-1 Shoki, which my wife promptly absconded and wrapped as a b'day present for me.

Yesterday was great - I first tore into the little BM... neat. Then the new plain small Sebbie... WOW! It evoked a response similar to the ones exclaimed twice last year when I got my other two CRK's, a Starbenza 'zaan and a Nyaala... I'm not WORTHY!!. Wow - how does it get any better? Well - it did - I took that clip off - now it's mine! There was another odd shaped box... it contained another knife... that MT UT - my wife had gone back and bought it with her squirreled away stash - what a great wife - a keeper, for sure. Oh yeah, neat knife, too.

The small Sebbie is unreal - a work of art - techno-art - perfection. I am a blessed man. I am considering a blank clip hole cover & screw for both the small Sebbie and the 'zaan. Any two-fer deals on them?? Are they that nice? Thanks!

Stainz, that's a great story!
When you said your wife bought your knives back with squirreled away money, that just put a lump in my throat...great gal and it's obvious you appreciate her!
Happy belated birthday and enjoy those knives in good health!
Congrats!

Looks like we share at least three things; a birthday, being married to wonderful women, and a love of Chris Reeve Knives. Congrats and Happy Birthday!

Just ordered the 'zaan and small Sebbie a hole cover - $15/ea + couple bucks 1st Class USPS. They should look more complete. Super knives - the 'zaan, new 9/10 and carried/used a bit since, still shaves arm hairs. The new small Sebbie isn't sharp - it's scarey sharp!

Yep, stjames, sounds like we share 7/30 - also with 'AHHH-nold', Lisa Kudrow, and... Edsel Ford! Great to have great wives, too, of course!
