It's a bit late after the fact, but my little sister had her birthday recently. She's one of those type that likes books, and likes cassette tapes. And after ten years of hauling such around in her old backpack it just couldn't take anymore abuse and needed to be replaced. So along comes the observant older brother with a Fieldline alpha ops daypack to replace it. http://www.amazon.com/Fieldline-Tac...=1384832967&sr=8-1&keywords=fieldline+daypack

I could've gotten her something different, something cheaper since she doesn't do anything too strenuous with it. But I went with the Fieldline for its MOLLE capabilities, because of how it relates to a late birthday present on my part.

Once she found out the BK7 was intended to replace the standard KA-BAR for military issue she just had to have one of her own. She never thought she'd actually be getting one.

And that's where the MOLLE capabilities come in.

A cobra weave lanyard to keep the knife attached to the bag until she needs to use it.

And a Dorcy LED flashlight clipped onto the strap for when she's out after dark.

Best big brother EVER. With an extremely cool sib...my sister freaks out from across the room when I snap open one of my folders....like it'll jump outta my hand, fly 10 feet and take her eye out. Other than the kitchen knives she let me get her, she sticks w/ her little Vic Esquire.
Give yourself a pat on the back and cherish that sister of yours. And please wish her happy birthday from this Beckerhead.

What a great gift, I wish I had a brother like you! Sounds like she'll love the blade and backpack, and be sure to wish her a happy birthday!

Oh she was very thankful and appreciative. Especially several days later when the got the BK7 and I sewed the sheath onto the side with matching black paracord.

I think she'll be even more appreciative when she learns that her new knife can be used for more than just defensive purposes.

Nice rig. My wife recently started making paracord stuff. Now I have a project for her. LOL
