I'm circling back to some of the simple-knives projects to get them off the bench.
Here's a long overdue 'biradashi' (or is it beeradashi?) in 1/8" 154CM with just a heat-treat finish. I gave in and double-beveled (~25deg inclusive) it to make kydex possible for a sheath. The single-side ground versions just cut into the sheath badly no matter what games I play to prevent it. I'm still experimenting with the best way to sheath these things.

I prefer my kiridashis with a centered grind whether its a v or hollow. It seems easier to use in every which way. Less specialized more general purpose. Scraping scribing cutting whittling etc.

Looking good daizee! One quick question, what is the OAL on that? I'm doing some research on kiridashi sizes...

Matt, it's about 5" from tip to tail.
It is based on exactly zero traditional specifications, but it's a nice size in the hand.

Thanks, Paul!
Yep, we're doing everything in-house. Kiln-cooked and plate-quenched (when the geometry allows).
By 'we' I mean in '71 Commando's kiln over at Rock'n'Roll Knife & Tool. :)

Beer = biiru?

Eitherway, I love it! I like the simplicity and stream line form.. and combined with my favorite hobby: beer! :D
