I don't get to get out in the woods much with my knives so when something like this comes up I am always stoked to share the story. I hope you guys don't mind.
So last week the family and I went out for a nice little hike. My 5 year old is a great hiker but this day she probably should have stayed home for a nap. The hike is a little less than a 2 mile loop with some good up and down hills. Toward the end of the loop with maybe a quarter mile to go, we came upon a tree down across the trail. Normally this would not be a problem as we would just walk under or over the tree. Unfortunately the tree was covered in ants and my wife is deathly allergic to ant bites. To the left of the tree was a large patch of poison ivy and poison oak all the way to a fence. To the right of the trail was a very big drop. We had 2 choices. A. Turn around and hike back with a very whiny 5 year old who was already done or B. remove the tree from the trail. Well option B was an easy decision. I quickly got my Bishop out of my pack and went to town. With in a matter of a couple of minutes the tree was gone from the trail and to my girls delight we were on our way. This could have been done faster but of course I had to stop and take a few pics. Love the Bishop!

Just a random shot I took later on the trail!
