Bison/cranberry bars

well, it's only partialy hydrogenated. the hydrogenated soy bean protein and the 2% 'flavourings' are i am sure purely organic and good for you. would they lie to you?

i wonder if they are made from wild cape buffalo from south africa or the domestic ones from south east asia. i would have thought it would be more traditional and patriotic to make them from Tatanka (american bison).

i guess they are catering for the white-eye market who don't know the difference and generally use the traditional incorrect english mis-nomer.

This sounds like pemmican minus the rendered animal fat. They have figured out some way around the grease issue and hydrogenated soybean oil must have something to do with it. So far I have never found any recipe for pemmican with a decent alternative to pouring in grease. Too bad, because I don't like jerky and pemmican would free up freezer space.
