Well, I was opening and closing my XM earlier with my left hand (weak hand) and put a little too much pressure on the spine after disengaging the lock (these things are crazy smooth as you guys know) and the blade over came the detent a little too fast, hitting my thumb. As I reacted, my thumb automatically tried moving out of the way and I just wound up getting a larger cut- not fun. Got the bleeding under control before the pics but man, did it bleed. I realize messing with it with my weak hand was a dumb idea on my part but I never got cut like this by my XM before so figured I'd have to share the milestone. :D

Clipped my thumb opening and closing my sebenza yesterday. Nothing deep, no blood.

This just makes me want a XM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad lol.

Been there done that...only with my M390 Millie...damn near run out of super glue trying to get the bleeding stopped.

Haha, those Millies are awesome slicers. I'm sure it had no problem going into your finger. This one stopped without superglue but if it opens up again, i'm just gonna glue it.

Yeah you got nipped. I've seen worse on here, and had a kitchen knife get a peice of me, but wear your badge of honor with pride. And keep in clean while it heals!

You probably want to consider getting rid of that knife. Sort of like a Dog, once it bites once - tough to trust.

On the subject of "Knife nips" though, I got tired of people asking me, "Hey is that knife sharp?" Now I just go to hand it to them and when they put their hand out, I whack em' and ask, "I dunno You tell Me".
Funny to watch the looks on their faces. I just tell em' "The bleeding almost always stops"

Jk- Get better Man and Neosporin is your friend:)
