So I took my 5 year old out for a little drive/hike in the Uinta National Forest.

For those in the know, this is actually up behind Squaw Peak.

Some wild turkeys behind the rocks.

About a 500 + foot drop behind the little guy (into Rock Canyon......from the back side, you can see Provo trough the peaks)

Then we went back down the canyon, and up to Bridal Veil Falls. Hiked up to the base of the waterfall.

Way steeper than it looks. Coming back down with the 5 year old. Went straight up the waterfall. Slippery loose rocks. Almost fell at the top.

Found this little fella part way up. Rubber Boa I guess.

the way back down. Super steep. Know it does not look it, but it was three point climbing all the way down (with the kid clenched in the other hand).

Beautiful pictures. Looks like a day to remember for both of you. Thanks for sharing!

Great photos, once again! WILD TURKEY in Utah, who would have thought? (Of course I know there are birds there).

Wow - awesome pics! Looks like a great time.

I like the snakes.

Cool pics!!! Your boy is "too cute"! I'm telling you now to get ready for the ladies in @ 10 years or less. ;)

Wild Turkey..........in Utah, funny.

He is already a lady's man. Since birth. If an ugly woman talked to him, he would ignore them. Cute woman......he would coo, and laugh and let them hold him.

Made it easier for babysitters. Just get one of my hot friends to baby sit and he was happy as a clam.

Forgot to mention. I had my SS in the pocket, and the B11 in the bag.

I edc'ed the Basic 11 all around town for three days in that bag, with just the handle showing.

My leather sheath for the SS got soaked. I forgot to bring the Kydex for it on this hike.

That's some beautiful country and those falls are spectacular. You also did some serious climbing to get there, very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the great pics and glad to see the little one loving nature.

Brother, that looks like a day full of memories that maybe hard to top...

good thing you and little man are young enough to keep trying;)

Man, I would pay for a day like that...good for you my friend:cool:
