Bite handle rubbing

I am happy with my purchase of the BM 42 in general. It is lots of fun, and quality built.

One thing I noticed though, the bite handle seems to have a lot of play to one side, and is scratching the blade because of this. Not the edge, just the side of the blade. When I inspected it for purchase, I hadn't noticed this(not knowing really what to look for on a balisong). It doesn't seem like a show-stopping problem, but I want to make sure its not.

It has almost no play in the other direction, just to one side. Almost as if it were washerless on one side, but I see it in the pivot.

If anyone can give some advice on this, I would be grateful.

You could buy a torx wrench kit at a local hardware or auto parts store and tighten it up a bit, after that you should be good to go.

If that doesnt work, send me your knife and I will exchange it and send u back a beautiful Bear MCG bali for you to have all to yourself.

Actually, I tried that already. The pivot screws were as tight as possible. Plus, if the pin was loose, it would have play in both directions. As is, it only has issues in one direction. Doesn't really flex at all on the other side.

I'm sure BM would take care of the problem if you were to send it back to them. Give them an e-mail, let them know what is going on, and they'll let you know what to do....
