Hello from down under!!!

I am relatively new to knives and while I was researching came across many reviews about the Becker bk2 being 'indestructible'

Despite being thoroughly impressed I realized the bk2 was a little too large for my usage when I needed a blade for a short hike or overnight trip. Then I realised Ethan was releasing the new 'tweeners' and I thought sweet! A mini bk2. Initially I was disappointed that the bk16 went ffg instead of the saber , thus making it less of a "mini-bk2" but now I see why he did it. I might still keep an eye out for a saber grind bk16 but safe to say I have well and truly been bitten by the becker bug,

I have a bk 16, bk17 , bk14 and necker, and have another eskabar and necker on the way. What's a thread without some pictures?

Looking forward to learning lots from everyone , cheers

Look at all those beautiful babies! Good start, now go get 'em dirty!

Eskabar and necker are getting the hardest use currently, followed by the bk16 , must admit that the bk17 was more of an impulse as I loved the look of the knife more than actually requiring it. Poor bk 16 gets brought along but most days doesn't see much work as either the eskabar or necker handle most jobs, I only remember I have it when my fingers start aching from the handles,

Oh hey, another Australian :)...

Welcome to the addiction er...Forum. You've got a good range of small BKs so far man, now its either time to beat on them more or buy some of their larger brothers.

Btw, where about are you man? Guessing NT?

Someone photo shop Ethans head on a fierce looking bug.

That would be awesome.

:D

Welcome dude! Looks like you've made some great choices in the line so far.

Now that we have a Becker Arachnid someone needs to photoshop a Becker Spiderman.

Camh_16 : yes I am currently in NT but only for a few months, long term I'm in QLD,

That becker arachnid is hilarious, Ethan does look like he's ready to sink his fangs into something

He is really harmless, I swear.........I only want to sink me fangs in your, heart, mind and wallet.....See, HARMLESS....

That there is funny, I don't care who you are........

Thanks for being so enamored of my babies and I am glad those particular puppies have found a good home even if they strayed a bit far from Olean.......

Thanks for the post and pics......And I think I owe NSvens a beer or a beer mit a touch of arsenic perhaps.....LOL....

Damn close to lost it when Susan brought me a print out.....That there is some funny sxxt......

All Best....

Ethan

Thanks for posting Ethan, I do love the blades, i'm going to be owning 2 neckers and 2 eskabars soon in addition to the bk16 and 17, now I'm trying hard to talk myself out of hunting down a 16 in saber grind or a 15. Unfortunately some companies are charging the cost of the knife for shipping so a 16 in saber grind looks to be out of the budget,

And another thing, I still think its amazing that you find the time to post and read the forum, helps me understand why the knives are so well received, cheers

Congrats! I'll still wanting the 17... but I'm going to hold off until the factory micarta is available.

I think your next purchase should be a 4, 7, or 9... you need a big blade! You can thank me later. :)

Yeah I would be interested in a bk2 or larger, but realistically for my needs the tweezers are more than sufficient, even the bk11 and bk14 do for me majority of the time.
