10 easy steps to being bitten by the Spyderco Bug:
1) Decide I need a new folding knife and decide it should be reasonable quality, not the rubbish I've put up with 'til now.
2) Find the Blade Forums on the Internet
3) Ask questions that match my needs
4) Receive replies, the vast majority of which point the way to the Spyderco Forum
5) Ask more questions on this Forum and get loads of useful advice.
6) Decide on the Calypso Jnr Lightweight.
7) Ask where there is a UK supplier and get told via the Forum.
8) Contact supplier and get knife sent to me within a couple of days
9) Appreciate what a fabulous knife this is and realise that:
10) I will be buying more!!
This blade is phenomenally sharp straight out of the box and I have spent hours " playing ".
However can you guys out there suggest the correct angle for sharpening ( I presently use the Lansky System ) and what grade stone I should use for general chores which include gutting, breasting and skinning of birds, rabbits etc but nothing much bigger?
Oh and by the way thanks for all your previous advice.
