Well my brother let me borrow his mini bike for a couple of weeks and I have to say this thing is pretty fun :) . Now I'm looking for one that can go off road and have run into two models: A Panterra 125cc dirt bike and a Yerf-Dog 175cc Mini Bike. I've heard good things about Yerf-Dog but nothing about Panterra('cept the band ;) ). The Panterra seems to be of better quality than his, which is made by Blue Jean Gas I guess  , can carry two people, and looks like it would be good off road. The Yerf-Dog looks more rugged and is designed for off road use. You can find both at Pep Boys. They don't have a price on their site :grumpy: , but the Yerf-Dog can be had for around $899. Has anyone had any experience with either? Thanks!

Things have evidently progressed a bit from the lawnmower-engine-automatic clutch jobs that were almost everywhere when I was doing "regular" police work.

How I hated the little things! We got daily calls from all over the county about people riding them in the street, on parking lots, common ground areas, and so forth. The state of Missouri at the time classified the things as "motor vehicles", so they were flat illegal to use anywhere but private property. (with the owner's permission)

Finally, St. Louis County parks dept. opened a "mini-bike park" area out on Route 66, just about the time the fad was dying.

900 clams for a toy....hehe. I guess my "gaming" computer qualifies.

A little dirt bike can be a ton of fun. You might want to consider a gently used Honda XR100 - Solid motorcycles with a good parts supply and great reliability.
