What a day, what a day. At 1030 am eastern time I had an oral surgeon ripping my heavily impacted wisdom teeth out of my skull with pliers and what sounded like a bone saw (eyes were closed/ drugged out of my gourd). When I got home I had not one but two failed delivery slips on my door, they said I could pick it up Monday. I shouldnt care Im practically in tears as the freezing wears off, I have no need for gear at a time like this... or so I thought. I downed a couple of percosets and passed out for an hour then woke up feeling suprisingly good. I placed a little call to the post office who confirmed they were actually ready for pickup today, soooooooo Im to stoned to drive but its a close walk. Results: Maxpedition Vulture II in khaki, KaBar 1213 kratong g handle with hard plastic sheath, and my crks kydex sheath for the ontario rat 5. Talk about a bitter sweet day, pics to follow. My new gear is consolling me nicely and when Im better Ill post up pics of the Vulture and some thoughts on how it packs out (just for you Flexx). Sorry for the wall of text, figured you guys would share the enjoyment and feel my pain/elation.

Yours in knifedom,
Joey

I know where how you feel, Joey. Good luck on the recovery. At least you got some gear to sit around and drowse on.

Get some clove oil, for the later part, it really helps, if you can stomach the taste. I hate the stuff, but it works. It really does.

Swift recovery, brother.

Get better soon man! I gotta go here before long myself for some major stuff. Kinda worried how bad it is going to suck.

yay gear!

i guess even these days some oral surgeons are either super talented or ... BUTCHERS OF THE SAW....

saw? wtf? i had novocaine for mine - all 4 at once, in and out in less than 2 hours. drove myself home too. could've gone straight back to work for all the agony i wasn't in.

ice packs! ICE PACKS! oh yes. at least for 24 hours. omg good.

gargle salt water every hour or so. not aggressively per se. just get in in there to moisturize and move things around some. keep your mouth moist!

do NOT suck on straws. or smokes. or boobs. or whatever. you'll pull those clots out, and THEN the hurting.

good luck!
