I received a package in the mail today, totally unexpected as I haven't ordered anything in a while and what do I find?

Normally I'd be ecstatic to receive a new knife in the mail, however, this is a bitter sweet delivery...

...You see, I never ordered the knife!

I did place an order for three knives when the ASH 1 first dropped, an LE, an OD/Blk G10 Mag and a Hog Edition. I made special note to hold the knives and ship them together so I can save on shipping (I'm totally cheap like that).

So ever since people started receiving their ASH 1's, I've been quietly watching, jelously hoping that my day would be near. Well, apparantly someone at Busse wanted me to see up close and personal JUST what I've been missing all this time!

You cruel jokers! :p:p:p

Seriosuly though, I just lost my job - laid off as a tool maker here in Windsor where the industry is suffering terribly. I haven't even received my record of employment to file for EI yet. Needless to say, my INFI budget is tight and an extra ASH 1 was never worked into the budget! :(:(:(

So I took the opportunity to share a nice photo before putting it back in the box. Now my question, given that we're recovering from a Ganzaa and the lovely ladies of Busse are certainly swamped - should I fire off an email and harass them about it now? Or should I wait a bit and avoid stressing them out even further?

Whatchu think?
 
Yes email or call so they know what is going on when they get the knife.

It may just be anoter one of Lunde's.;)

That looks like mine, you should just send it to me. No need to bother the folks at Busse Combat. :-)

I would not hesitate to call Amy-0 and let her know, I'm sure they can take a minute to help you with being an honest HOG.:thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words and advice guys. I've sent off an email explaining the situation, hopefully sometime in the near future I'll hear back with advice on what steps to take next.

As for being laid off, I'm living at home with my parents so I'm not in dire straits or anything, so I'm not in any danger of finding myself on the streets or begging for food. So luckily I don't have to do anything silly like sell off my entire INFI collection!

Just gotta curb any superfluous INFI purchases for a bit, thats all! :eek::eek::eek:

I've only been dinged for the black/black G10 in the pic above. Unfortunately!

I was hoping not to incur any additional CC charges until all three ASH 1's were ready to be shipped.

sounds like a clerical error. strange.

they may have you down for the blk/g10 instead of the od. if you like it, keep it and cancel the od.

if you prefer the od, your current course of action seems fine.
 
This is just part of an extremely diabolical practice at Busse. Occasionally they send an extra shipment, and the victim often, after holding the knife, just cannot send it back so he pays for it.

Fortunately, I have been the victim of this scam, and have an extra ABALE and Desert ABA because of it.
(No, they are not "extra" as in "for sale".):D

Believe me when I say I "really" wanna keep that ASH 1. The black/black matches one of my FFBM quite nicely!

It was a very strange feeling opening a knife and packing it away only a few mins later!

Unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be, Amy responded to my email with the quickness and the ASH 1 will be making it's journey home much sooner than later. :(:(:(
 
It was an awesome teaser to be certain, nice to get to handle an ASH 1 well before I was ever supposed too...

...but you know....lets get those LE's and Hog Editions in the mail, that's what I'm waiting for at this point!
