BJ-LE user, Choil or Choil-less?

I absolutely love this model and, in all probability, going to get another. I have a LE with a choil and black paper but need another to use. So, for anyone who has a BJ-LE user, is the choil important or just a preference? I’m also trying to decide on the handle; G-10 or canvas? I’m looking at the green & black G-10; does anybody own this color combo on this knife, if so, how does it look? Any information or responses are appreciated.
Thanks,

NinjaHOG

P.s. I’m debating on a SAR-6 instead of the BJ-LE, fwiw…

FWIW, I went with a choil and black canvas for my user. One in black paper for the safe.:D

For users I don't like the choil on a blade less that 6" It seems like I am using it to cut things like string, rope, and netting and the choil gets caught or goes into it. For chopping or batoning it doesn't matter to me. For larger blades it is nice to be able to choke up for finer work with such a large blade.
I went with the choiless LE w/ pumpkin handles.

With my big digits, I can't use the choil on the Boss Jack. :grumpy: So for me no choil is the user, choil is the looker, but I didn't buy any lookers. The SAR 6 has a great choil setup on it and I like it, but the Boss Jack is a much smaller knife overall and really doesn't need the choil.

Well, I decided to go with a SAR-6 w/ green & black G-10.

I have 2 BJ's; 1 paper LE and 1 satin, red & black proto, both with choils.

I highly doubt I’ll be disappointed…

For a user, I think I prefer no choil.

Looks better with one, but then again, maybe I am just used to seeing them.

...And here I thought you guys were true HOGs. :grumpy:

Please do! ...Have her call me to chew me out. When she's done I will casually explain to her all about INFI and its addictive properties and how that if she doesn't reign you in you'll both be poor for life...and when I'm done scaring the crap outta her, I'll offer some fairly low price for all your knives. You'll be in the doghouse and all your INFI will belong to me! ;):D:D

(THIS is how a mean ol' HOG thinks!!!!!!!!!! LMAO ;))

You know he's right. If I don't get both when I'm torn I always end up regretting it. Not like you'd have a hard time selling the extra if you had to :D
