Will you guys be using the micarta handles mostly when using your BK 10's? I really like them on mine:cool::thumbup:
They feel thinner than the black handles, and feel better in my hands.

I went from grivory to micarta in about 1 minute flat, when I got my user. The Camillus grivory is shyte. I didn't like it, but some did.

I took my micarta, sanded down some of the rough spots with 600gt W/D, then buffed it smooth with some 000 steel wool and mineral oil. My micarta feels like grivory now. :D

i like both. my grivory slabs are a little low in a couple areas (blade tang slightly higher than handle) and the micarta are a little high (more easily resolved by just sanding em down). i liked the grivory more than i thought i would and they gave a better grip than i expected. the slightly high edges aren't even noticeable when handling the knife although i haven't put it through heavy/extended use. you can more just feel it with your finger nail. however, when i put the micarta on i really liked it and think once i sand it down appropriately i'll probably leave that on there.

I have the Micarta on #1 and Grivory on #2. I ended up stripping one of the bolts on #2 trying to put the Micarta on.

Here is what I'm using. I hope that it will still fit your kydex. I might need to change to the kabar micarta if it doesn't fit.

Because the BK10 are normally tapered after the first bolt hole, your handles may push out on the kydex. If it doesn't fit, you can send me a set, I can make it custom for you! :) Thank you,
Al

Sweet! I'll let you know if I have any fitment problems with it.

nick you can send me set of those scales as well. allow 6-8 years for redelivery

Hey MWTIC,

The BK10 fits snug into the kydex I got from Azwelke for my 7, so I dont think there should be any problems with the 10 sheaths.

Interesting, I've never heard this before. Would you please explain the differences between the old and the new?

It feels grippier in the hand, the old stuff that is. The sizing is wrong on all I've seen though, when I say that I mean the Camillus grivory doesn't come out to the handle tang in certain places. Usually right in the belly of the handle there is a spot that doesn't look or feel quite right.

I just took a look at my Camillus 2 and 10 and you're right, the scales don't match up evenly in spots. Never paid much attention to it before I guess. I do like their texture though, I don't know if smoother would be any advantage.

perfect description. kind of unfortunate bc otherwise i like the grivory! maybe throwing on the old inner tube would remedy it, but i don't even know if the handle defects will matter in use as haven't gotten it out yet.
