So, I was fortunate enough to get a BK-10LE from Ka-bar and a Camillus Crewman 10 (BK-101) Desert Series off of the Trade Forum, I want to carry one of them in a scout sheath but I'm not sure which one, The BK-10 is a Limited Edition and the Crewman is no longer available from what I understand, So which one should stay in the knife drawer?
Thanks for your opinion/recommendations.
And pics of course:

Both, get another scout sheath and dual fist it. :D

The finish on the desert series seems to come off pretty easy. I would use the heck out of the limited.

Thats a tough call. I would say that because the cam version has a coating on it it would be the one that would show use more, and therefore should be the one that you keep in the drawer.

Well there may never be anymore bk10s. But from what i understand from pestering the hooved one, there wont be anymore desert series knives either. Therefore the desert series is even MORE rare in new condition. Id use the LE and drawer the 101

i'd use the hell out of the desert one, strip it, paint it a better color, cuz the stuff that's on their is pretty damn cheap.

I'd carry and use the Desert version, cause it's not that rare, oh and it's pink by the way.

Close your eyes and throw them both straight up in the air. Whichever one lands closer to you is the one you use first. Once it's worn out (should only take a couple generations), use the other one until it's worn out. At that point, someone somewhere should have made another run. It's hard to imagin that Ka-Bar would be able to stand up to 200-400 years of requests for the BK10 to be brought back. Just make sure your Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren are ready when the time comes to buy another

:D

Use the LE. The LE is a blank with a great profile and great steel that was ground and heat-treated by KA-BAR in order to be a hard-use tool. It would be a shame for it to sit in the dark forever. The limited edition-ness of it should just be something that you think of with a grin once in a while as you're out using the knife and living your life.

Neither Bladite or Ethan Becker seem to like the desert series knives much, so I'd say hock it and buy something cooler.

it's an ugly pink tinged tan. ewww. also, cheaply done. don't much like a lot of the late Camillus era stuff.

You're only saying that because you have like 17 of them

well, don't i wish. just don't like that desert model. it's dumb :) strip it, use it like a stolen bike.

True, But even if I only had one I would use the crap out of it. I highly doubt I could ever ruin one of the shorter Beckers on accident. The pinky tan is ugly anyway, Save a 10 and strip it.

I have one of those BK7's in the desert tan, BK71 I think, it's a complete user. The finish is kind of tan ish , pink ish. Tan pink tan. Ethan calls it titty pink.
