I know there's been some threads about this but can't find them. There's some simple fixes to carry handle up without the knife wanting to flop over. I want to use the stock sheath. I recall Erik had a quick fix involving scrap leather. Anybody got some pics of ideas or a link? Thanks!

I know Uncle E carries a 14 scales up, but IDK what system he uses? Ive only ever carried scales down, with both stock and aftermarket sheath, and never had any problems in any way at all.

Use the holes on the sheath to counterbalance each other. Run paracord through the holes closest together nearest to the tip. Next the holes beside them and last through the holes nearest to the scales. Hope that helps!!!

Search for the Gathering threads, I think one of those shows the boss wearing his necker in the style you are referring to.

this scrap of leather?

lifting by the loop the bk11 hung vertically.
with scales, the BK14 hangs horizontal - but hung vertically against my chest.
with a relatively flexible 5/6 oz "outdoor grade" leather backer, it lays flat against my chest and free hangs about 20 degrees out of true vertical.
stiffer material such as thicker leather or even a scrap of pickle bucket would solve that.
