I was under the impression that the sheathes for those two neckers would already retain the knife, even in inverted carry. Am I mistaken, or was this just for a secondary retention?
Regardless, I like the simplicity of what you devised. Just don't cut the cord as you're drawing the knife.
looks like a quick and easy fix...although to me it seems having to use a secondary device for retention defeats the purpose of having something like a neck knife where access and deployment of the knife should be...well easy. Then again I'd rather secure it than lose it
Just for secondary retention. There is another thread right now about a guy losing one. Fast and easy draw and very secure retention are somewhat mutually exclusive. It will hang all day upside down from your neck but walk through thick brush and it could get hung up and pulled from the sheath.
I've seen some kydex sheath makers put a machine threaded screw at the top to adjust how tightly the sheath fits the knife. Then the owner and adjust it to meet their needs.
