Mornin' peoples,
Three years ago I bought my Bk-11, at first I didn't know what to make of it. Three years later, it's the only survivor of over thirty knives, and the only knife I keep anymore. It's seen and done just about it all. Broken wires, opened bottles, stone-knapped, gutted/skinned, dug holes, chiseled, lifted up my grill's rack, flipped meat, turned eggs, scrambled eggs, cut everything from heavy ropes to cords, and of course split wood and started many fires in my woodstove and grill! It's been a good and faithful companion. I have pics, but I've no idea how to post them (I'm sure I'd goof it up--blah, give me a heavybag or a axe, I stink at creative things lol). I even re-taught myself to hone edges with that knife, even to convex by hand using some of the Beckerhead tutorials. I keep it's edge polished and oiled; it typically rides in a homespun sheath since I lost it's original. It's a good knife, and for the price people can pay now..alot of knife for it's little price and size.
It's been the ONE knife I've never regretted buying. That little black piece of steel has been there for me, when nothing else was or would hold up. It's seen so much use in the woods, my work, training, and home that I'd be sorely pressed to part with it. Maybe I'll even buy it a sheath and some scales someday, when I have a little money to toss.
For a fifty dollar knife (was when I bought it back then), it's performed as would a much more expensive knife. Good all around!
Have a good mornin' folks,
