I gave my brother Rob his first Becker yesterday. His birthday was a couple of weeks ago but I hadn't seen him .
We had talked about it a couple of months ago. Just comparing the 11 & the 14. He was leaning toward the 11 because of the bottle opener.
So, I picked one up here on the exchange. Full flat grind, no handle wrap & 100% bad a**.
Well he just called to thank me for "a great knife" and to let me know that he " loves it".

One more potential Beckerhead is born!

Awesome!!!!

I got my sister carrying a 14 recently. I had picked it up to modify to Chicago-legal size but she was getting ready to volunteer doing rehab construction so I gave it to her since she had NO knife.

Then I was putting together a B.O.B. for my mom and when I asked what type of knife she wanted, she said "I want that one that you have" Which after a lot of questions (which one? fixed blade or folder? Black blade or shiny blade? what color handle? etc...) She got herself a BK-17.

Nice CBear! Always gotta look out for your mom. My mom is getting a little forgetful and doesn't see very well anymore so maybe I could get her a 14 with a really comfy lanyard. Or finally convince her to move in with my wife and me.

Thats great man!! Any time we can pass on, or introduce, our love of knives to others, we should almost feel like its our responsibility to do so. And the same goes for firearms too. Its far to easy to turn on the tv, and see some reporter or talk show host, bashing and thrashing these things any more. A gifted knife is a step in the right direction for those that appreciate and respect good steel.
