bk-11 edge grind question?

15 degree flat grind I do believe. Personally, I convexed mine and like it much better.
 
How does one convex a flat grind? And is it any easier to maintain thereafter? TIA for any thoughtful replies.
 
WARNING! Convexing blades can be habit forming.

While I leave my Beckers with a V grind, I have convexed a number of my other blades. It's relatively simple -- once you get the hang of it -- and it's pretty easy to maintain.
 
you wanted the knife to be more blunt? Why is that? Did you have problems with the edge? I had a sharpening problem today. Im about to post a thread about it.
 
It wasnt very sharp out of the box. Now It's blistering. If that is blunt then yep.. I like em blunt
 
Each Side. I was unhappy with the grind so I re profiled it to 25 on each side.

I re-profiled mine to 13 degrees each side on my EdgePro than convexed it. Made me a lil Becker style straight razor. The first time I have ever had a dedicated SD boot knife. It slices meat like a hot knife through budda. God have mercy on the sorry soul that makes me use it. Because it wants to send them straight to hell. My problem now is I can not seem to stay away from the strop. The blade is much more polished now than this pic.
