first time doing a mod to a knife, removed powdercoating on blade only and forced a patina and added thumb jimping

Is that a camillus version?
If so, you should have really bought a Kabar version to do that too.

Otherwise I like it! Looks great!

the jimping reminds a little of the KaBar Besh BOGA...

nice mods. cute newt!

why is the camillus version any kind of special :)

okay, i know they went for STUPID money when they were out of production, but at this point, they're affordable enough to buy 4:1 and sock a few a away.

prices on the cami 2, 3, 7, 9, & 11 ALL dropped like a stone when the KA-BARs came out.

it's pretty tough to sell something as "rare" and out-of-production, when they're aren't anymore :)

cover the planet in Beckers!

Nice!
It's weird, but I just finished modifying my BK11 today. Also removed coating and put on some jimping. I also put an Olive wood handle on it long time ago.
Will post pix tomorrow.

Thats sweet. what did you use to put the jimping on ? I used a dremel to do mine but yours is alot nicer.

Sorry not everyone has 10 hanging around like you MR President ;)

It's not that they are worth anymore then the current production, it's that they are rare on the secondary market at least from what I've seen.

Even an old beat up one can be sanded, polished and made to be a nice collection piece.
Has nothing to do with the resale value, at least to me.

My Becker's once bought stay with me forever.
