I really wanted to shoehorn my BK11 into the knives ship free "Adirondack" pocket sheath. So...... I ground some off the top of the blade with a 2" bench mounted belt grinder.
I jipped it out of its full size
Then I removed the black epoxy with a finer grit belt, then did some quick and dirty half assed attempt at a satin finish. (I was struck with inspiration before work this morning and only had about a half hour)
Next I reset the edge as it was a zero grind when I was done removing the finish.
Then a trip around the Spyderco sharpmaker for optimum sharpness.
Then... some mineral oil for food safe protection.
It fits!
It is a nice snug fit now. I am going to the store to get some beer to open with this Bk11 and steal its bottle opening virginity today!
In the sheaths other side I have a 4 sevens 2xaaa hi cri flashlight, and a pen.
