BK 11 vs BK 14 Micarta?

I recently purchased micarta scales for my 11. I was so impressed with the quality, feel and look of them that I just had to get some micarta for my 14. I was dissapointed to say the least. They just didn't give me the same wow factor that the 11 micarta gave me. I actually prefer the look and feel of my paracord wrap over these scales. My 11 has again regained it's place as my edc becker. I hear kabar is coming out with grivory for the 14, I will be buying these for sure when they come out, the esee grivory just isn't as nice looking or have the same feel.

cant speak for the 14 or the 14 handles
but my 11 handles came yesterday and I am extremely pleased :)

I think the scales on that 14 look every bit as nice as the ones on the 11.
 
I see where you are coming from, I def think they would look better that same color, or maybe cover the big hole all the way at the back, but that might be inconvenient...

covering the "big hole" on the 14 would make about as much sense as covering the bottle opener on the 11.

Someone asked me to do that for him but I did not have time to rerun the Eskabar yet (been working 7 days a week, same for tomorrow and Sunday, too). They will look something like this:

I think most would like the BK11 handles better. They look like they fill the hand a little better than the BK14's.
